REFERENCE ONLY. (SOLD or NOT FOR SALE) NAMM 20 A Pearl Black beauty, this is one of the original 20 guitars that Paul Smith took to the Summer NAMM music trade show in 1985. No serial numbers were issued to these guitars. Paul has graciously signed this guitar for me, noting that it is one of the twenty. The Pearl Black color looks basically black until bright lights hit it, when it sparkles with a midnight blue hue. The thin paint job of this piece has sunk ever so beautifully into the grain of the solid mahogany body. The Brazilian fretboard used on the early guitars is lovely. The pickups in this are tape marked T&B, prior to the T&B stamps. The sweetswitch has no washer under it, for those maroons that find that important. The original all mahogany version of the PRS was called the PRS Guitar, prior to them being renamed the Standard. )
